Who processes your data

The data controller is Goatland Records LLC, registered at 412 W 7th St, STE 974, Clovis, NM 88101, United States. For any question about your data, write to cvsstillo@goatlandrecords.com.

What data we collect and why

• Contact form. Name, email address or Instagram handle, link to your music and the message you leave us. We use it only to reply to your request and assess whether your project fits the label.
• Artist and client accounts. If you work with us, we keep your email, artist name, links to your public profiles (Spotify, Instagram) and the data needed to distribute your music and pay your royalties. Legal basis: performance of the contract between us.
• Vocal bank and placements. Email and artist name of anyone who downloads a recording, to issue their usage license and keep a record of who downloaded what.
• Email. If you joined our mailing list, your email and the opens and clicks on what we send. You can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
• Technical data. IP address, browser and pages visited, kept in server logs for security (preventing abuse and unauthorized access).

Who we share it with

We do not sell data. We share it only with the providers we need to operate, under contract and only for that purpose:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): website and server hosting.
• Google Workspace: company email and document storage.
• Brevo: mailing list delivery.
• Stripe and Hotmart: payment processing. We never see or store your full card number.
• Digital distributors (RouteNote, Too Lost) and streaming platforms: to release music and pay royalties.
• Spotify: the public artist figures shown on this website.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. When we process data of European Union residents, we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on the provider's EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification.

How long we keep it

• Contact form submissions: up to 24 months after the last contact.
• Artist and client data: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by tax and accounting law (up to 7 years for royalty statements).
• Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, object to its processing or transfer it to another provider. Write to cvsstillo@goatlandrecords.com stating your request and the email you registered with; we reply within 30 days. If you reside in the European Union and are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with your country's data protection authority.

Minors

Our services are intended for people aged 18 and over. If we detect data from a minor without the consent of their parents or guardians, we delete it.

Security

The website is served encrypted (HTTPS), private areas require a session, and the server limits login attempts. No system is infallible: if we believe your data has been compromised, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the date of the new version here. For changes affecting how we use data we already hold, we will notify you by email.
